1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Ventemo (“Ventemo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you access our websites, mobile applications, and chat, audio, or video services (collectively, the “Platform”).
This Policy applies to users and listeners who use Ventemo. By using the Platform, you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Ventemo, we may process the following categories of information:
Account and profile information
- display name or profile name
- email address
- mobile number, if provided
- profile photograph
- age confirmation or date of birth, where collected
- language and preferences
- account role (user or listener)
- authentication identifiers managed through our authentication provider
Listener-related information
If you apply to or operate as a listener, we may also collect identity and verification information, qualifications you provide, availability, ratings, session-performance information, and payout or banking details needed to process eligible earnings.
Session and communication data
- chat messages
- audio and video session metadata (such as duration and timestamps)
- bookings and session status
- reports, feedback, and support messages
- safety escalations
- session content transmitted through our real-time communication providers when you use those features
Ventemo does not record all chat, audio, or video sessions by default. We may monitor or record certain interactions when the relevant feature is enabled, appropriate notice is provided, and consent or another lawful basis is obtained where required.
Device and technical data
- IP address
- device type, operating system, and app version
- browser type and language
- time zone
- device identifiers and push notification tokens
- diagnostic, security, and server logs
- approximate location inferred from IP address
Payment information
Payments on Ventemo are processed by third-party providers such as Razorpay and, where applicable, Apple App Store or Google Play billing. We receive payment status, order identifiers, and transaction amounts, but we do not store full card or banking credentials on our servers.
Permissions
Our mobile apps may request device permissions for the following purposes:
- Microphone — for audio and video sessions. You can revoke this in device settings, but sessions requiring audio will not work without it.
- Camera — for video sessions and profile photos. You can revoke this in device settings.
- Photos or media library — to upload a profile photograph. You can revoke this in device settings.
- Notifications — to send session reminders and service messages. You can disable notifications in device or in-app settings.
- Bluetooth — to support audio routing during calls on some devices. You can revoke this in device settings
Ventemo does not request access to contacts or precise device location in its current mobile applications.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create and operate accounts
- connect users with listeners
- provide chat, audio, and video sessions
- process payments and session bookings
- provide customer support
- conduct safety, moderation, complaint review, and dispute resolution
- prevent fraud and secure accounts
- analyze service performance and improve the Platform
- comply with legal obligations
- send service-related messages
We send marketing communications only where permitted by law and with an appropriate legal basis. You may opt out of marketing messages where that option is provided.
4. Monitoring, recording and sensitive disclosures
You may voluntarily disclose sensitive personal or emotional information during sessions. Please avoid sharing unnecessary financial, identification, medical, or confidential information.
Ventemo may review or record interactions only as described in this Policy and permitted by law. Recordings or session information may be used for safety, quality, complaint investigation, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and product improvement. Ventemo is not a healthcare provider and does not maintain medical records.
Actual consent and disclosure flows in the product must match this Policy and applicable law.
5. Legal bases
Where required by law, we process personal information based on:
- performance of a contract with you
- your consent, where consent is required
- our legitimate interests, such as securing the Platform and preventing abuse
- compliance with legal obligations
- protection of vital interests in emergency situations
- other lawful bases available under applicable law
7. Safety disclosures
We may disclose relevant information when we reasonably and in good faith believe disclosure is necessary to address a credible risk of harm, protect users, listeners, Ventemo, or the public, prevent fraud, abuse, or illegal activity, respond to valid legal process, or cooperate with appropriate authorities. Only necessary information is disclosed where practical.
8. Data retention
We retain information based on account status, service delivery, safety requirements, complaints and disputes, fraud prevention, legal and tax obligations, payment records, and enforcement of agreements.
Data may be deleted, anonymized, or securely retained where legally required. We do not commit to a fixed deletion timeline for all categories of data.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, which may include encryption in transit, access controls, authentication controls, logging, restricted internal access, secure infrastructure, vendor reviews, backups, and incident-response procedures. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may be able to:
- access or update account information in your profile
- change device permissions through your device settings
- opt out of marketing communications where offered
- request account deletion as described below
- request access, correction, or deletion where applicable
- raise privacy concerns with us

11. Account deletion
You can request deletion of your Ventemo account as follows:
- Website (users): open Profile → Account → Delete My Data.
- Ventemo mobile app (users): open Profile → Delete Account.
- Ventemo Listener mobile app: open Profile → Delete Account.
- If in-app deletion is unavailable, email contact@ventemo.com from your registered email address
Deletion is processed through our account-deletion service and removes your profile, bookings, favorites, sessions, and related user data associated with your account, then deletes your authentication record. Deletion is not always immediate and may take reasonable time to complete across backups and service providers.
We may retain certain information where required for legal, fraud-prevention, payment, safety, or dispute obligations. For more detail, see our Account Deletion page.
12. Children's privacy
Ventemo is intended only for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly permit children to create accounts. If you believe a person under 18 is using Ventemo, contact contact@ventemo.com.
13. International processing
Ventemo is based in India. Your information may be processed in India and in other countries where our service providers operate, including countries where our cloud, authentication, communication, and payment vendors maintain infrastructure. We apply reasonable safeguards and process information in accordance with applicable law.
14. Third-party links and services
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. Those services have their own privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised Policy with an updated effective date and, where required, provide additional notice through the app, website, or email.
